I’ve always believed that anchoring should add value to a presentation content rather than be a smart adjunct to the main show. And this was amply proven when, in a manner of speaking, I was handed a virtual Oscar when Lata Mangeshkar wrote in the preface of a book on her (On Stage with Lata – Mohan Deora-Rachna Shah, Harper Collins, pg. xxxvi) – The presentation of the (my) shows was always of a high standard and that was also thanks to the Master of Ceremonies Harish Bhimani to whom I’m very grateful. Oh, in fact, I am eternally thankful that I was chosen some 143 times in 53 cities of 21 countries to compere her public events, as also other artistes, writers, directors, industrialists, politicians.
