Corporates

The culture of audio-visual corporate communication (AKA corporate films) began in the early 70s, which was then called Slide Shows – a bunch of transparencies (35 mm photographs on celluloid) projected with music & VO. It then upgraded itself to multi-projector slide shows with electronic editing control by audio signals.

With the advent & advances of video technology, slides turned into films in the form of video – called Corporate Videos.

Today, corporate videos are shrinking in length – in a few measured words & less minutes, they say the same thing. Here’s a corporate launch video for Urzo, interestingly written and directed by a rather underrated filmmaker Chintan Shah

Reliance – Motivational Film

From corporate videos arose event videos. These are mostly single-use short videos extolling a certain theme. I’m rather fond of this Reliance video for multiple aspects, apart from the voice rendition.

And like short event videos, there are product showcase videos—shorter, harder-hitting, in-your-face.

Mongia Steel Ltd.

As mentioned earlier, longer Corporate Videos are few & far between. This Mongia Steel corporate video is more in the genre of documentaries, as it leisurely delineates the history of the iconic industrial enterprise. It’s almost a ‘corporate docu-drama’ – if there is such a genre.

A Vadodara Hospital Video

Aamer Fort, a pride of Rajastham is a video from an ambitious project of showcasing 120 monuments of India to the world – WIP.
